2026 BAFTAs

One day, I will get an award show post out in a timely manner. That day will not be today.

Still, the BAFTAs happened and brought with them some beautiful red carpet looks, so here I am to share my favorites with you!

Gracie Abrams in Chanel

I will be the first to tell you that I do not like Chanel, but I’ll also be the first to admit when they do something right. Abrams, who attended the ceremony with Best Actor in a Supporting Role nominee Paul Mescal, always brings beautiful gowns to the red carpet and stage. In this case, she reminded the world of what I’ve always known to be true: we need to bring back embroidery. Look at those Koi Fish! They’re so beautiful! They’re so sparkly! Embroider more stuff! I genuinely love details like this, and I feel like we see them less and less on modern red carpets. So thank you Gracie Abrams and Chanel for bringing us some beautiful koi fish at the BAFTAs.

Rei Ami in Jasmine Erbas

Ami, who performed “Golden” from KPOP Demon Hunters alongside co-stars Ejae and Audrey Nuna) at the ceremony, showed up in this exquisite sculptural gown by Jasmine Erbas. The corset is cool, her hair is cool, but what really gets me about this look is the way the hem of the skirt falls on the floor. Ami looks like she’s rising up out of a cloud of swirling smoke, and I’m obsessed.

Wunmi Mosaku in Ahluwalia

Mosaku, who took home the award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her performance as Annie in Sinners, was stunning in this fringed blue dress by Ahluwalia. I’m not super sure about the silhouette here, but the color is so beautiful on Mosaku that I would have been remiss not to include it in my post. I’m also a huge fan of the matching eyeshadow.

Audrey Nuna in Thom Browne

It’s gotten to a point where I can recognize an Audrey Nuna look from a mile away. She’s really taken the red carpet by storm this year, and I for one am thankful. Nuna, who also performed “Golden” alongside her KPop Demon Hunters co-stars, has such a distinctive style and visual brand. You could crop her face out of the photo and this look would still be instantly recognizable. She’s true to herself but still manages to keep us guessing about what she’ll wear next. I love the texture on the jacket, and this is such a fun take on the 1950s poodle skirt. I’ll also give her points for showing up on a red carpet in blue lipstick — and managing to pull it off.

Renate Reinsve in Louis Vuitton

I said it in my 2016 post and I’ll say it again: I love a cutout. Reinsve, nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her performance as Nora Borg in Sentimental Value, kept it sleek and stylish in this black strapless gown by Louis Vuitton. I love camp as much as the next girl, but sometimes it’s refreshing to see some minimalist glamour like this on a red carpet.

Bonus: Paddington Bear

The best dressed of the night, obviously, was Paddington Bear. Paddington presented the award for Best Children’s and Family Film in his iconic blue toggle coat and red hat. I talk a lot about visual branding on here, and Paddington is the master. As the first bear ever to present at the BAFTAs, he had a lot of pressure on his shoulders and he absolutely delivered. Someone get him some marmalade.
